نائب رئيس مجلس السيادة :يرحب بتعين الأمريكي توم بيرييلو مبعوثاً خاصاً إلى السودان

عبر نائب رئيس مجلس السيادة الإنتقالي الفريق مالك عقار اير، عن سعادته لتعيين السيد توم بيرييلو مبعوثاً خاصاً للولايات المتحدة إلى السودان، كجزء من مساعي الولايات المتحدة للمساهمة في صنع السلام في السودان والتوصل إلى اتفاق لوقف الأعمال العدائية، مشيراً انه يؤدي إلى إنهاء الحرب في السودان وتحقيق تسوية شاملة.

وقال عقار في تدوين له على حسابه “نحن في حكومة السودان سنكون على استعداد للمشاركة بشكل إيجابي مع المبعوث الخاص، على أمل أن يكون المبعوث الخاص حساساً ومراعياً للمساعي السابقة التي فشلت وكانت بعيدة عن تحقيق النتائج وأدت إلى تفاقم الوضع”، واضاف قائلاً :يستحق السودان السلام الذي يلبي تطلعات الشعب السوداني ، ويجب أن يكون السلام شاملاً بحق ولا يستبعد أياً من المكونات السودانية، ويجب أن تكون أي تسوية سياسية شاملة وتحافظ على الوحدة الوطنية للبلاد.

I’m delighted for the appointment of Mr. Tom Perriello as the US special envoy for Sudan, as part of the US endeavors to contribute to peace making in Sudan and bringing about a cessation of hostilities agreement leading to ending of the war in Sudan and achieving a comprehensive settlement.

We in the government of Sudan will be categorically willing to engage positively with the Special Envoy, Hoping that the special envoy shall be sensitive and considerate of the failed endeavors, that were far from achieving results but resulted in aggravating the situation.

Sudan deserve peace that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people which should be inclusive and doesn’t exclude any of the Sudanese components. And any political settlement should be comprehensive and maintains the national unity of the country.
